I live in the southeast part of Wisconsin - with my husband Doug of 48 years. We have 3 sons/daughter in-laws and 5 grandchildren (#6 arriving in July).
We live in a 50's Cape Cod that was not so pretty when we bought it...decorated very 80's with oranges, golds and lots of shag carpet.
It took us years of growing our sons up and out of the house before we could make it like we wanted it to look like - but we are there. Oh there are many things we could do but we won't - it's very livable for us.
I've loved the Colonial look all my life - always wishing when I was little to be able to live out east like in one of the 13 Colonies...never happened but I have been there a few times.
I am a retired graphic designer and once I retired I started enjoying my craft of making Penny Rugs...most are Folk Art design but eventually the Traditional Penny Rug will surface - it's on my list of things to do.
I enjoy reading - mostly Amish Fiction...I have an extensive book collection as well as several on my Kindle..so between taking care of my home and these two hobbies it's a busy life. When we find the time we like to travel to Pennsylvania for a get a way among other places.
