Debbie asked me to do her introduction as home of the month, since I introduced her to the forum and I am honored, to do so. Michael and Deb lived in an apartment while he was in Pharmacy school that was decorated so cute. Her Daddy used to say they were poor students, but they were poor in luxury. So it was always a sure thing when she got a house it would be well decorated too. When they built the house they lived in the basement. It was warm and homey but they loved dreaming about when they would build on. After Beth came along, Amanda was already here, they had to have more room. It wasn’t long until they built the house. Deb had bought furniture and knew where every piece was going.. Michael and his father built the house themselves. They had some help, but not a lot. Deb told them what she wanted and they would try to do it. Amanda liked to brag they had 3 “potties,” and lots of windows. LOL!
Over the years they have added a master bedroom and bath, a dining room., a two car garage and man room, and the barn. Yes the one Michael fell off last summer. They have done landscaping, a pool and remodeled the kitchen. They also put new ceilings in the entire house. This is the only house Beth and Curt have ever lived in as Amanda was born when they were still in Memphis. I know I am a proud Mother, but the feeling you get when you go into their home is love and peace. They open it to all kinds of parties and family get togethers. The kids always knew their friends were welcome and still are. The grandchildren play and have the run of the house. I promise if you ever visit you will leave feeling you have experienced true southern hospitality. Deb and Michael both believe you serve God when you are hospitable to others. Hopefully you will enjoy the tour and feel like you have been in a Christmas wonderland.
